Disaster Earthquake Relief Efforts in Sagaing, Myanmar

What happened?
A 7.7-magnitude earthquake struck central Myanmar on March 28, 2025, near Mandalay and Sagaing, followed by a 6.4 magnitude aftershock. It caused widespread destruction of homes and infrastructure, resulting in numerous casualties and leaving many homeless, especially in a very hot climate 39.4 °C. The event has caused a humanitarian crisis, compounding the already existing issues within Myanmar. Urgent humanitarian aid is needed for shelter, basic food and clean water, medical care.

၂၀၂၅ ခုနှစ်၊ မတ်လ ၂၈ ရက်နေ့တွင် မန္တလေးတိုင်းနှင့် စစ်ကိုင်းဒေသကြီးတို့အနီး မြန်မာနိုင်ငံ အလယ်ပိုင်းတွင် ရစ်ချ်တာစကေး ၇.၇ အားရှိသော ငလျင်ကြီးလှုပ်ခတ်ခဲ့ပြီးနောက် ၆.၄ အားရှိ ငလျင်ငယ်တစ်ခု ထပ်မံဖြစ်ပွားခဲ့သည်။ အဆိုပါငလျင်ကြောင့် အိမ်ခြေများစွာနှင့် အခြေခံအဆောက်အအုံများပျက်စီးခဲ့ပြီး၊ လူအများအပြား သေဆုံးဒဏ်ရာရရှိခဲ့ကာ အထူးသဖြင့် ၃၉.၄°C အထိ ပူပြင်းသောရာသီဥတုတွင် အိုးမဲ့အိမ်မဲ့ ဖြစ်ခဲ့ရသည်။ အင်အားပြင်းငလျင်ကြောင့် မြန်မာနိုင်ငံ၏ နဂိုရှိရင်းစွဲပြဿနာများကို ပိုမိုဆိုးရွားစေကာ လူသားချင်းစာနာထောက်ထားမှုဆိုင်ရာ အရေးပေါ်အခြေအနေတစ်ရပ်ကိုဖြစ်ပေါ်စေခဲ့သည်။ နေအိမ်များ၊ အခြေခံစားနပ်ရိက္ခာနှင့် သန့်ရှင်းသောရေ၊ ကျန်းမာရေးစောင့်ရှောက်မှုများအတွက် လူသားချင်း စာနာထောက်ထားမှုအကူအညီများ အရေးပေါ်လိုအပ်နေပါသည်။

What support?
The Shwebo team of AHRN-Best Shelter conducted an initial assessment in Sagaing on March 31st, 2025. The 80% of the population was affected and left homeless, and they urgently need temporary shelter, basic food (rice, beans, oil, salt), drinking water and basic healthcare services. Our relief support is targeting 10USD per person for 15,000 affected people.

AHRN-Best Selter (နားခိုရာ-အရိပ်စစ်) ရွှေဘိုရုံးအဖွဲ့သည် ၂၀၂၅ ခုနှစ်၊ မတ်လ ၃၁ ရက်နေ့၌ စစ်ကိုင်းတွင် ကနဦး ဆန်းစစ်မှုပြုလုပ်ခဲ့သည်။ ဒေသခံပြည်သူ ၈၀ % ထိခိုက်ပျက်စီးကာ အိုးမဲ့အိမ်မဲ့ဖြစ်ခဲ့ပြီး ၎င်းတို့အတွက် ယာယီခိုလှုံရန်နေရာ၊ အခြေခံအစားအစာ (ဆန်၊ ပဲ၊ ဆီ၊ ဆား)၊ သောက်သုံးရေနှင့် အခြေခံကျန်းမာရေး စောင့်ရှောက်မှုများ အရေးပေါ်လိုအပ်နေပါသည်။ AHRN-Best Shelter (နားခိုရာ-အရိပ်စစ်) အဖွဲ့မှ လူတစ်ဦးလျှင် 10 ဒေါ်လာ (၄၄,၀၀၀ ကျပ်) နှုန်းဖြင့် ငလျင်ဘေးသင့်ပြည်သူ ၁၅၀၀၀ အတွက် မျှဝေပေးရန် စီစဉ်ဆောင်ရွက်လျက် ရှိပါသည်။
