The Asian Human Rights and Drug Policy Program course is to help students understand drug policies within a framework of fundamental human rights and to explore how national and international drug policies conflict with international human rights standards. The program discussion is focused partly on the identification and understanding of human rights, including those that have their basis in international agreements and laws, and in part on evaluation and assessment of the gap between rights and drug policies in many countries and regions. The focus of the course is global and two staff members of AHRN-Myanmar; Dr. Aung Yu Naing, National Health Coordinator and KoThiha Linn, National M&E Officer were selected as a scholar to participate in this short course supported by the Open Society Institute.
